As the year comes to a close, we at BroadFutures are grateful for all that 2022 has brought us. We are especially thankful for our dedicated community, generous donors, supportive employer partners, committed families, hardworking staff and board, and awe inspiring interns.
After several years of remote programming, we were thrilled to return to in-person activities this summer in our new offices at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue. It was wonderful to be back in person where we trained, learned, grew, and created new friendships together. The program was a huge success for both our interns and employer partners. We served close to 50 young people individually and many more through our outreach efforts. We were also pleased to welcome five new employer partners, bringing our group to over 60 organizations. Additionally, we expanded our reach nationwide through a partnership with General Dynamics Mission Systems, delivering our programming to four offices across the country. Looking ahead to 2023, we have high expectations for BroadFutures. Not only will it mark our 10th anniversary, but we also hope to launch more nationwide pilots and serve a greater number of scholarship recipients and interns.
Finally, As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” At BroadFutures, we strive to support this very principle, and in doing so, we aim to change the lives of the young people we serve as well as the workplace. Thank you to all who have helped BroadFutures promote growth, inclusivity, and accessibility. We would be thrilled if you would consider BroadFutures in your end of year gift giving, and we look forward to being in touch in the New Year.
